ALMOND SEA (2) turned in a fine effort to win by a neck at this course and distance last start to maintain her good form of late. Finds another suitable race and can play a major role again. CALANTHA (14) was racing well without winning, finishing in the money on two consecutive occasions, before finishing fourth last time out over 7f at this track. Yet to miss the frame from five starts at this journey, including two wins and is sure to run well. NIGHT VIGIL (11) finished seventh two runs back at Vaal then improved last time out to score by a long neck over 5f at this track. Must raise the bar but this looks well within her grasp. ELEGANT ICE (1) has been kept fresh for this since a disappointing sixth last start over 5f at this track six weeks ago. Should be prominent from the outset. Solid claims on best form.
