OMBUDSMAN (3) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at this track, finishing fourth and only 1.75 lengths from the winner at the end of 1m. Beautifully placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. TINTAMARRE (1) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 4 lengths when sixth over 7f at Turffontein Standside two-and-a-half weeks ago. Faces an easier assignment so he is a major player. CARNELO (8) has been in the money at his last couple of runs, the latest when second over 1m at Turffontein Standside. Right in this.
