KOMATI RIVER (1) turned in a fine effort to win by 1.3 lengths at this track and distance when when resuming from a layoff last time out. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. PACIFIC (7) doesn't win very often but ran a nice race last time out over 5f at Vaal, finishing third and beaten 1.5 lengths. Has the class to produce another positive result. SAMOA (5) has been freshened up since a disappointing sixth a month ago over 5f at Vaal. Likely to push forward and race on the pace. Should be involved in the finish. TWICE AS WILD (12) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at Vaal, finishing fourth and only 1.2 lengths from the winner at the end of 6f. Best figures measure up. Set to run well again.
