Group 1 placegetter WILLIAM IRON ARM (3) fought on for third last start over 1m1f in the G1 SA Classic at Turffontein Standside, making it two minor placings in a row. Has the pace to take a forward position. Finds a suitable race and can get the job done. Group 3 placegetter BARBARESCO (1) finished eighth two runs back in the G1 SA Classic at Turffontein Standside then improved last time out to score by 2.75 lengths as favourite over 7¼f at Vaal. Enjoys a drop in grade so he is all set to build on that latest effort. Group 2 placegetter PYROMANIAC (2) ran below expectations last time at Scottsville, finishing fifth and beaten 2.5 lengths starting at 11/2. Finds an easier assignment and can get the job done. SCARLETT PIMPERNEL (4) finished third last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 1m at Turffontein Standside, beaten 6 lengths. Will benefit from that outing. Nicely placed to play a role in the finish.
