GOLDEN ASPEN (7) knuckled down strongly to get within half a length of the winner in third last start over 7¼f at Vaal. Will drift back but wind up late. Best form puts her right in this. VAVA VEGAS (12) settled well back then made some inroads and finished 7 lengths away in sixth last time out over 7f at Turffontein Standside a week-and-a-half ago. Steps up in journey. Craig Zackey has won when aboard in the past and gets the ride again. Well placed and should be in the finish. MATTIAZO (4) is backing up five days after finishing third over 1m at Turffontein Standside. Strong run last time and must go in the numbers. ZOOMBOMBER (13) missed the placings two runs back then did well last start but found one better over 5f at this track, beaten only a neck. Nicely placed to take this out.
