FRERE JACQUES (10) recorded a strong maiden win over 1m at Vaal last time, getting there by 4.5 lengths. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Drawn well close to the inside and he can go on with it. OMBUDSMAN (5) turned things around last start and scored by a neck over 1m at Vaal. No reason he cannot salute again. READ ALL ABOUT IT (3) returns from a break of three-and-a-half months. Was going well at the back end of last prep with placings at his last three starts, the latest at this course and distance. Should be prominent from the outset. Sure to be competitive. ZIP CODE (2) was in contention on the bend but didn't fire over 1m1f at Vaal last time out when in the market. That followed a good second the run prior. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is right in contention.
