OM FIRE (1) has been racing consistently without winning, the latest effort a strong third in a Listed Race at Grants Pass on dirt over 1m2f. This is his first try on turf. Will find this much easier. Major player. FORT NECESSITY (8) finished 7 lengths away in fifth last time out over 5½f at this track two-and-a-half weeks ago. Steps up in journey. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Will prove tough to beat. STOP AND A TRES (3) returns from a layoff of ten weeks. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last time in work over 6f at Santa Anita. Hasn't scored when fresh from a break but generally races well with two minor placings. One to consider. BROWN TOWN (12) is a five-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Allen Brown barn. Hasn't raced since finishing fourth at Canterbury Park (Dirt) three months ago. Not seen at the trials but looks well placed. One of the main chances.
