THOMPSON (1) has been in the placings his past two starts, finishing second over 1m at this track (Dirt) last time out. Hard to beat once again. WELL IMAGINE THAT (4) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just once from 12 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when seventh over 7½f at this track, beaten 10 lengths. Tackling a more suitable race this time so he is one of the main contenders. RENEW (5) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a fourth over 6f at this track (Dirt) after he got a long way back in the run. Suitably placed so anticipating a bold performance.
