DESERT GAL (3) is back after a break of six months. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 5½f at this track. Strong chance to kick the campaign off on the right note. RUSSIAN TOTHE WIRE (6) was always well out of her ground when 16 lengths from the winner in ninth over 6½f at this track last start, a less impressive effort than her sixth at this track the run before. Finds a nice race and can take this out. DEFICIT MAJA (2) showed little early speed last start then picked up impressively in the straight to finish second at this track (Dirt) over this journey. Commendable record at this trip with a win and two minor placings and has winning claims on best figures. DIAMOND DEE (7) was comfortably accounted for when fourth last time out over 6½f at this track, beaten 4 lengths, after a win at this track at the previous outing. Worth another chance.
