MR CLUTCH (10) found plenty to salute by 5 lengths three runs back at this track (Dirt) before filling a minor placing at his last two starts. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Best form puts him right in this. POPS AWESOME (3) is fitter for two runs from a lay-off but yet to find best, the latest finishing seventh over 3f213yards at this track (Dirt). Will strip fitter again and is better than recent form suggests. REPLETE (4) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with just five wins from 57 starts. Was again denied last start when he found a couple better over 6½f at this track. In the right race and there is no reason he cannot get the major prize. CAJUN TREASURE (5) has not appeared since he finished second over 4f124yards at Los Alamitos Qh (Dirt) on July 22. Can make his presence felt.
