KATAR (2) was when resuming from a lay-off last start and saluted by 2.25 lengths at this track (Dirt) over 5½f. Has a very good record here including five wins from nine starts. Among the leading chances. RENEW (1) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just once from 11 starts. Did a good job last start to finish third over 6½f at this track, beaten 9 lengths. Goes up a rung or two but he is good enough to take this out. ARIZONA ANDREW (6) showed good early muster and fought on to finish second when resuming last start over 6f at Listed level at this track (Dirt). Ideally placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. RES IPSA LOQUITUR (5) comes here off a break of 15 months. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 5½f at Arizona Downs. Has to be respected.
