WILDERNESS STAR (5) finished eighth two runs back at Walcha then improved last time out to score by a long neck after being in the firing line on the turn over 7f21yards at Grafton. Ideally placed and is sure to be there at the finish. CHOWDAH (3) finished third at Tamworth two runs back but didn't measure up last time over 7¼f at Quirindi, finishing 4.5 lengths back in seventh. Beautifully placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. DODGEBALL (6) hit the frame two starts ago at Taree but ran below par last time when eighth and beaten 7 lengths over 6f at Walcha. Meets some better types this time but he has the talent to test this line-up. EMERALD'S SON (4) showed good early speed then led into the straight last start before fighting on to finish third, beaten 1.4 lengths, over 7¼f at Quirindi. Well-placed and can feature in the finish.
