Better than last start and worth another chance. VEGAMEISTER (7) has been in the market at his last couple of starts but hasn't made an impression, last start finishing sixth over 5f at this track. Rates highly on best figures. MISTER DOOBEE (10) accounted for a maiden field over 4½f at Innisfail last start, finishing 1. 75 lengths ahead of the nearest rival. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Tougher task this time but expected to be competitive again. COPPABELLA ROAD (1) went forward over 4¾f at Cairns last time but found a couple better. Will be handy in the run despite the tricky draw. Among the top-three contenders.
