OBLIGATED (6) started at 5/2 last time on the back of a win at Mackay two starts ago but was below his best, finishing fifth over 6f at Rockhampton. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. HEAD HONCHO (7) will find this easier than last start when he finished fifth over 7f at this track, that effort following on from a minor placing two starts ago at this track. Better placed this time and can do much better. VIBURNUM (3) is close to breaking through following a narrow defeat last time over 4¾f at Cairns. Sound record at this distance with three wins and seven minor placings from 13 runs and is sure to be thereabouts. BEAUTY BOOM (4) produced another moderate effort last start when 5 lengths from the winner in seventh over 6f at this track. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
