LONGCROSS (3) is yet to break through after four career starts. Managed to fill a minor placing at Yarra Valley two starts back before finishing sixth over 6f at Kilmore last time. Won't get too many better chances to open his account. HEZA ROMEO (6) was close to a maiden win before a three months break, finishing off with a placing over 5f at this track. Ran fourth in a recent trial at Townsville. Good chance to open this campaign on a winning note. THE KAMIKAZE (5) gave away a big start at the top of the straight last start and finished 5.5 lengths from the winner in fifth over 4¾f at Cairns. Among the chances in what looks a nice race for him. ONE PERCENT (4) gave away a big start at the top of the straight last start and finished 20 lengths from the winner in seventh over 6f at this track. No surprise if he figured in the finish.
