MORE THE MERRIER (7) is a distance specialist who progressed nicely last time out to finish just 1.5 lengths from the winner in second over 4½f at Mareeba after being in contention on the bend. Taking on a better field but she is capable of running a bold race. MISSILE THUNDER (8) drifted well back last start before storming home to score by 1.5 lengths over 4¾f at Cairns. Will drift back but should be in the finish again. BONES (4) returned from a lay-off two-and-a-half weeks ago when he was beaten 4.5 lengths into sixth over 5f at Bowen. The engagement of Lacey Morrison is noteworthy. Stepping up a level this time but with added fitness he is one of the chief contenders. GO GETABOY (1) crossed from an outside draw last time to stalk the lead before drawing clear to win by a nose over 7f at Cairns. Form over this course and distance is solid with a win and five minor placings from seven starts. This looks a nice assignment.
