ON THE CLOCK (2) was unplaced on debut then last start finished third over 5½f at Doomben after being in contention on the corner. Has the talent to figure prominently. LONESOME STAR (9) did a fair job on debut last time out, finishing 6 lengths from the winner in fifth over 6f at Eagle Farm. Can get off the mark this time. DIAMOND IMPACT (1) was always well back on debut last start and made no impression, finishing fifth over 5f at Eagle Farm. Likely improver and capable of a far better run. SYRIAN DIAMOND (3) didn't do a lot on debut two-and-a-half weeks ago, finishing 12 lengths from the winner in sixth over 5f at Eagle Farm. Jumps from a far better gate this time around. Will take a lot from that experience. Don't underestimate.
