PROCLAIMER (6) is yet to break through in 12 runs. Finished seventh at his last appearance over 7f at Gatton on June 28. Well placed on this occasion and gets his chance to break the ice. SLUGWORTH (3) was prominent from the outset and fought on for second last start over 1m at Sunshine Coast, making it two minor placings in a row. Finds a more suitable contest and can discover winning form. LUCIFER THE CAT (9) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m2 1/4f at Doomben, beaten 10 lengths into eighth after being prominent at the corner. Has the talent to take care of this field. COSMIC INSANITY (7) was given a short break after finishing seventh over 1m3f at Ipswich. Kept ticking over since that run with a trial at Beaudesert. Deserves plenty of respect.
