BATTLEFIELD (4) started at 1/1 last time on the back of a win at Doomben two starts ago but was below his best, finishing fifth over 5f at Eagle Farm. Finds a nice race and can atone. DAYTONA (1) made considerable ground in the run home to finish second last start over 6f at Doomben. Ryan Maloney who has two wins when partnering stays on. Among the leading chances. Group 3 placegetter END ASSEMBLY (6) battled on well to hold second last start over 5½f at this track, beaten one length when fresh from a lay-off as favourite. Going up a level this time but he cannot be underestimated. TOWN CRIER (14) could only manage eighth two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 6f at Gold Coast Poly, beaten just half a length. Nicely placed to maintain the form.
