PICK ZA BEANS (7) finished out of the money when fresh from a lay-off two starts back then was beaten 3 lengths when fifth over 1m1/2f at Ipswich four weeks ago. Finds the right race this time and can take this out. TEA LEAVES (2) was out of the money when resuming two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he settled well back over 1m1/4f at Doomben, beaten 4 lengths into eighth. Faces an easier assignment so he is likely to play a big role. UNION SPIRIT (4) saluted at Dalby two runs ago. Fair effort last time out when fourth over 7½f at Kilcoy, beaten 1.2 lengths after doing his best work late. Nicely placed to take this out. A CERTAIN MAYBE (8) came home strongly last start to finish third, beaten half a length, over 1m at Gatton. Has a strong record at this distance with a win and three minor placings from four starts and is one of the better hopes.
