POWERFUL PHIL (3) was leading on the turn and fought on to finish second over 5½f at this track (Dirt) at his latest appearance. Form here at this trip is sound. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Among the leading chances. VENTURE ON (5) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with just three wins from 39 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when fifth over 1m at this track, beaten 5.5 lengths. Perfectly placed and is sure to be there at the finish. HENRY THE CAT (2) returned from a lay-off three weeks ago when he was prominent at the bend before being beaten 5 lengths into fourth over 6f at this track. Nicely placed to give this a mighty shake. Finds a nice race and can secure another top-three finish.
