Should be in the finish again. VALID CONNECTION (3) is a three-year-old gelding who is yet to fill a top-three spot in five starts. Failed to threaten when 13 lengths from the winner in sixth when resuming last start over 1m1/2f at Monmouth Park (Turf). One of the main contenders. RUFUS (5) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6f at this track, beaten 6 lengths after being prominent at the bend. Strips fitter and should be thereabouts.
