APURO (6) is coming along nicely this prep. Finished sixth when fresh from a lay-off two starts back at Sunray Park (Dirt) then improved and scored over 5f at this track (Dirt) a month ago, getting home by 0. 8 lengths after being prominent at the turn. Taking on a better field but he is up to the task. BART SIP SOME (1) made progress last time out, finishing 5 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 5½f at this track. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is right in contention. DOUBLE RIDE (4) finished second at Sunray Park two runs back but was less effective last time over 5½f at this track (Dirt), finishing 20 lengths back in 12th. Francisco Amparan gets the best out of this four-year-old colt. Meeting a deeper field this time but he deserves another chance. ULTIMATE DECISION (8) bounced back last start and got the job done by half a length over 4f124yards at this track (Dirt). Suitably placed so anticipating another big run.
