MASALI RAFFA (7) ran well despite being friendless in betting last time over 7¾f at Mackay, finishing third and beaten 1. 5 lengths at 25/1. Top-three aspirations. VILLANDRY (8) hit the frame when resuming two runs back at Rockhampton but couldn't back it up last start when seventh, beaten 3. 5 lengths, over 6f at Ipswich. Looks well placed so expect a better run this time.
