BLANDFORD LAD (2) finished fourth the start before last on the flat at Werribee then finished fifth last time in The Australian Steeple (2m3 1/2f) at Sandown-Lakeside. Capable of far better. RAISE THE NOTE (7) did a reasonable job when she finished third in a hurdle (2m) at Warrnambool two runs back. Held that form last time when 3.5 lengths away in second in a hurdle (2m1 1/2f) at Casterton. Will be a force once again.
