SURPASSER (5) showed good early dash last time out and led for most of the way before being claimed and finishing 2. 5 lengths away in third over 7½f at Port Macquarie. Will go forward again and looks tough to beat. CREATIVE RIGHTEOUS (2) is having his first run since winning by 4 lengths seven weeks ago over 7f at Ballarat Synthetic. Has transferred to the Peter Cheers stable over the break. Kept ticking over with a placing in a recent trial at Cranbourne. Leading hope who should be tough to stop. Solid top-three chance for the new barn. ZENMODE (7) turned in a modest performance when tenth last time out over 1m1 1/4f at Newcastle, beaten 9 lengths after being in the firing line on the turn. That followed a win at Gosford at the previous outing. Has the class to produce another win. KOWLOON MAGNATE (10) has recorded three minor placings from four runs this campaign. Continued the trend last time out when third over 1m at Scone. In a suitable race and can figure in the finish.
