VILLA CASTINA (7) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1m at Gosford, beaten 2. 5 lengths. Has the class to build on that encouraging effort last start. OFF THE SCALE (4) failed to run a strong 1m1 1/2f last start after a close third over 1m at Scone the run prior. Coming back in trip suits so rates among the leading chances. SMOKE ON THE WATER (5) missed the placings two runs back then got a long way back last start when 5 lengths away in tenth over 7¼f at Muswellbrook. Finds a nice race and can turn things around. MOSGIEL DAISY (10) turned in another moderate effort last start when 6 lengths from the winner in 11th over 7f at this track. No surprise to see her in contention.
