SAGAPONACK (9) is a three-year-old filly who is having her first run for the Jason Deamer barn. Hasn't raced since finishing in the placings at Canberra six months ago. Ran fifth in a trial at Beaumont (Newcastle) over 4¼f and is in a nice race. Key chance who will go close. BEST DEFENCE (1) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 4½f at Wellington, beaten 2.5 lengths into sixth. Finds an easier assignment and can turn things around. KITTY'S PLEDGE (8) returns after six-and-a-half months in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a seventh over 7f at Barraba. Strong winning chance on best figures. RAW GOLD (4) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6½f at Gunnedah, beaten 3 lengths into fourth. Nicely placed to find some form.
