PIERANT (5) finished out of the money when fresh from a lay-off two starts back then was beaten 7 lengths when fifth over 7½f at Goulburn five weeks ago after being in contention on the corner. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. PHOENIX POWER (4) is building up to a win, most recently finishing 3 lengths from the winner in third over 6f at Coffs Harbour. Will be hard to stop over the longer journey. HIDEYO (8) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 2.25 lengths away in fourth last time out over 1m at Gosford. Beautifully placed and is sure to be there at the finish. CUP OF AMBITION (6) is yet to break through after 22 starts. Placed in a then last time out was fourth, beaten 2.25 lengths, over 7f at Scone. The blinkers go on. Has ability and rates among the chances.
