SO OUTRAGEOUS (1) is back after a break of eight months. At the last run before the layoff he finished seventh over 7¾f at Canterbury. Ran fifth in a recent trial at Wyong. Has ability and sure to prove tough to beat. SHARPEN THE KNIVES (2) was strongly fancied when second last time over 6f at Newcastle after being well positioned to strike on the turn. Likely to be in the finish again. SHALAMIYNA (13) wasn't far away on debut last start over 5f21yards at Grafton, finishing fifth and beaten 4 lengths. One of the main contenders. ROMI (8) missed the frame last time out when tenth over 5f at Ballina. Still a maiden but has been in the money on four occasions. Has a solid record at this journey, finishing in the money on four occasions. Blinkers added should be competitive.
