MONGOLIAN MASTER (4) returned from a lay-off a week-and-a-half ago when he was beaten 6 lengths into fifth over 5f at Gunnedah. Fitter so anticipating a better run this time. FINAL PRETENCE (7) did little and finished 9 lengths from the winner in tenth over 7f at Gunnedah last start after being in contention on the bend, a less impressive effort than her seventh on debut at Muswellbrook the run before. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. HIGHLAND DANCER (8) made late ground and finished third last time over 5½f at Quirindi when resuming from a lay-off, beaten 4 lengths. Likely improver with solid claims.
