GONCORA (2) is a promising galloper who won at his last run before a break a year ago over 1m1/2f at this track (Turf). Has never missed the frame when fresh from a lay-off in two starts. Drawn to enjoy a good run on the speed. Best figures should see him run well. DOUBLE NEAT (8) made it two wins on the bounce last start when he scored by 0. 1 lengths over 7½f at Gulfstream Park (Turf). This looks a sterner test than last time but on current form he is capable of testing his rivals. GROOT (11) is a four-year-old import having his first run for the Craig Robert Smith stable. Has not raced since he finished off last campaign with a win over 5½f at Woodbine nine weeks ago. Hasn't trialled publicly for the new connections but he is a definite winning chance. CHARLES J (6) never really threatened when resuming last time out, finishing midfield and beaten 6 lengths over 1m at this track (Turf). Expected to do far better this time.
