DIGARI (3) did little and finished 6 lengths from the winner in eighth over 1m1/2f at Warrnambool last start, a less impressive effort than his seventh at Bendigo the run before. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. WHERE'S POPPY (1) was unwanted in betting last start but performed beyond expectations when beaten 1.4 lengths into third over 7f31yards at Seymour. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Will prove tough to beat. SHAL EXCEED (12) travelled in a rearwards position then picked up fairly well in the straight and finished 7 lengths away in eighth last time out over 7f at Mildura three weeks ago. Steps up in distance. Reunites with Neil Farley who has two wins from four rides. Expected to measure up. CHOSEN VENTURE (9) was disappointing over 7¾f at Pooncarie last time out when in the market. That followed a good third the run before. Goes up a rung or two but he is up to the task.
