PERLE DE CHOCOLAT (5) is a three-year-old filly who is having her first run for the Kristie Clark-Peoples barn. Hasn't raced since finishing 12th at Gosford four months ago. Hasn't trialled publicly but is in a nice race. Leading prospect. STARVECCHIO (9) wasted no time getting off the mark on debut over 6f at Rockhampton 13 months ago and has not appeared since. Has since been kept ticking over with a Gatton trial win. Likely improver who should run well again. MEHRETU (3) returned from a lay-off three-and-a-half weeks ago when she was beaten 4 lengths into sixth over 6f at Eagle Farm. Strips fitter and can take this out. ICYMISS (8) got off the mark with an impressive maiden win when resuming last time out over 5¼f at Rockhampton. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. This is tougher but she cannot be underestimated.
