SPIES ON (3) was less than a length from the winner in second at this track on debut before showing the benefit of that race experience when an impressive winner over 5½f at Sunshine Coast Poly last start. Has to overcome a tricky gate but is expected to run well again. DASHING HOPE (11) drifted back and never threatened when sixth last start over 7f at this track. Has her share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. BELLOVE (5) didn't make an impact at her last run before going for a lay-off on November 28, finishing tenth and beaten 5 lengths over 6½f at this track. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. CALL TO COURAGE (7) is a progressive three-year-old filly who hasn't raced since finishing second over 5f at Ballina on January 9. Has never been out of the placings when resuming from two tries. Takes on a tougher assignment this time but is among the better hopes.
