SIRKEL (8) turned in a eye-catching run last start over 7f at this track, winding up hard from well back on straightening to finish a close second. Strong effort last time and is worth following up. RUINS OF ROME (1) is coming along nicely this prep. Finished fourth when fresh from a lay-off two starts back at Doomben then improved and scored over 6f at this track three weeks ago, getting home by a neck after being in the firing line on the bend. Looks well placed so expect another big run. PARIAH ENGAGEMENT (12) started at 15/2 last time and ran below expectations, finishing tenth and beaten 6 lengths at Wyong over 6½f. Has the ability to put the recent run behind her. BOLD ARTIC (4) booted up from a low draw to stalk the pace and lifted to score a gutsy win by a nose at this track over 1m last time out. Record here is impressive with two wins from six starts. Worth considering.
