RIVA D'AMOR (10) drifted well back last start then wound up strongly to finish fourth, beaten one length, over 5f at Gold Coast. Looks suited here and rates a major contender. STAR VENTURE (4) comes here fresh from an all-the-way win by one length over this journey at Gold Coast on November 1. Has a win and four minor placings at this journey from six starts and shapes as a key contender. RESOLUTE LADY (9) settled well back then came home powerfully to score by a nose over 6f at Kilcoy last time out. Winning hope here. EAST WEST MISS (7) broke her maiden last start over 6f at Kilcoy, scoring by a head. Cody Collis was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the mount. Tougher task this time but expected to be competitive again.
