GILIANA (4) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 1. 2 lengths when fifth in a 5f contest at Eagle Farm three-and-a-half weeks ago after being in contention on the turn. Ideally placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. KING SPIRIT (1) turned in a solid run when resuming last start over this course and distance, finishing second and beaten only a head. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. One of the main contenders. CARRIBEAN KING (3) doesn't win out of turn but ran a strong race last time out over 5½f at Toowoomba, finishing second and beaten 2 lengths. Suitably placed so anticipating another bold showing.
