MAN TALK (9) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 1.1 lengths from the winner in second over 1m1 1/2f at Toowoomba after being in contention on the bend. Steps up a level but she is worth serious consideration. ARGERICH (7) gave away a big start at the top of the straight last start and finished 5 lengths from the winner in ninth over 1m1/2f at Ipswich. Rates highly in this field and can turn things around. OBSTRUCTIONIST (4) was prominent at the corner and ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 1m4 1/4f at Beaudesert after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Finds a suitable race and can build on that solid recent effort. SHIRLEY PEARLY (10) is racing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid third at Beaudesert over 1m4 1/4f. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time.
