PAPAL WARS (3) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 0.6 lengths from the winner in second over 1m1/4f at Doomben after being prominent at the corner. Enjoys a drop in grade so he is sure to be right there at the finish. PIERONIMO (13) missed the placings when resuming two runs back then was always well out of his ground last start when 8 lengths away in fifth over 1m at Kembla Grange. This is a nice drop in grade so he is one of the main contenders. CHAMPAGNE ROUGE (16) went back early from her wide draw over 1m1/4f at Ipswich last time but hit the line strongly to finish fifth. Warrants plenty of respect. PRIDE OF SAVABELLA (14) finished fifth last start over 1m1/4f at Doomben after racing on the pace for much of the way. Sure to give a sight.
