SINGER SARGENT (6) ran fourth at his latest appearance over 1m1/4f at Doomben, finishing 1.4 lengths from the winner. Perfectly placed to score. SPEAK NOW (2) hit the frame two starts ago at Doomben but ran below par last time when seventh and beaten 10 lengths over 1m3 1/4f at Eagle Farm. Won't find this as tough so he is a major player. MATSUYAMA (17) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he settled well back over 1m1/2f at Ipswich, beaten 19 lengths into 12th. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. CONTRERAS (7) hit the frame when resuming two runs back at Lismore but couldn't back it up last start when ninth, beaten 6 lengths, over 7f at this track. Has his share of talent and can do a lot better.
