Good effort to kick-off last prep when in the money at Gold Coast Poly over 6f. Ready to find winning form. SMOKE 'N' OAKUM (11) went forward last start over 7f at Eagle Farm and held on well for third, beaten 2.5 lengths. Will be handy in transit despite the tricky draw. Has the class to take this out. EVERSTAR (7) turned in a much better run at his second appearance last time out when 1.4 lengths from the winner in third over 6f at Doomben. Progressing well and is among the chances.
