TERMAGANT (13) turned in a fine effort to score by a long neck at this track and distance when resuming from a lay-off last start. Facing a tougher assignment but she is worth serious consideration. DEFIANT SPIRIT (1) lines up for the first time since March 9. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 5f at this track. Strong chance to kick the campaign off on the right note. PAYLINE (8) had been in top form, scoring two consecutive wins before being sent out favourite last time and finishing fifth over 5½f at Ipswich. Expected to do much better this time. AVONE (7) will find this easier than last start when well held in stakes grade, finishing sixth in the LR Queensland Day Stakes at Eagle Farm. The addition of blinkers should see a bold run.
