ECHO HUNTER (10) started this prep with a win two runs ago. Not disgraced last time out when third over 7f at Sunshine Coast, beaten 2.25 lengths. Faces an easier assignment so she is a major player. CLAUDIUS (15) travelled in a rearwards position then made some inroads and finished 4.5 lengths away in seventh last time out over 6f at Kilcoy nine days ago as 7/2 favourite. Steps up in journey. Will find this a little tougher but shapes as one to consider. PAULI (7) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race last time out, finishing third and beaten only a long neck over 5½f at this track. Best figures measure up. Set to run well again.
