THREE MARTINIS (4) is going well and is knocking on the door, last time out finishing second over 1m at this track (Dirt) and only 2 lengths from the winner. Should be poised just off the lead. Will give a great sight. AMERICAN EMPIRE (1) is a six-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Justin R Evans barn. Finished off last campaign with a sixth at Santa Anita (Dirt) four months ago. Not seen at the trials but is in a nice race. Definite winning chance. GRIFTER (5) improved last start to finish third over 1m at this track. Will enjoy a drop in class so he is likely to play a big role. JETFIRE (3) failed to threaten when fresh from a lay-off last time out, beaten 11 lengths into ninth over 6½f at this track (Dirt). Backmarker who gets home hard. Deserves respect on best figures.
