JOHN JOHN (6) was safely held in tougher grade in a then appreciated the easier grade last time when second over 1m at this track (Dirt). Tackles similar class here and rates highly on best. Expected to go close. VOLS (5) finds it hard to win with two victories from 22 starts. Did a good job last start to finish second over 5½f at this track, beaten 1. 5 lengths. In the right race and there is no reason he cannot get the major prize. LOVESUNFAIR (4) was ridden quietly then picked up fairly well in the straight and finished 6 lengths away in sixth last time out over 5½f at this track two weeks ago. Tackles a longer journey this time. Strong top-three chance. SHARP STICK (2) has been out of the winner's list for a long time, last start finishing fourth at this track (Dirt) over 1m. Nicely placed to break the run of outs.
