KIRKLISTON BLU (2) is yet to fill a placing in two runs since resuming from a lay-off, the latest when sixth over 1m at this track. Will strip fitter and is expected to feature in the finish. PRIVATE JET (3) started at 2/1 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth and beaten 5 lengths at Mt Gambier over 7¾f. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. PIWHANE (13) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 1.75 lengths when fourth in a 6f contest at Balaklava nine days ago. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot find winning ways. CROWN AND ANCHOR (1) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at this track, finishing second and only a nose from the winner at the end of 1m. Best figures measure up. Set to run well again.
