AFRICARN LAD (1) missed the placings when resuming two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 6¾f at this track, beaten only a nose after being in the firing line on the corner. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. DOUBLE YOU OWE (2) did little and finished 3.5 lengths from the winner in seventh over 6f at Balaklava last start after being in the firing line on the turn, a less impressive effort than his fourth at Gawler the run before. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. MY CRACKLING (8) has put together back-to-back placings, the latest when 2 lengths away in third over 7f at Murray Bridge. Has the talent to produce another positive result. LITTLE CHICAGO (4) finished second last start over 6f at Balaklava, beaten half a length. Placed to advantage so expect a forward showing.
