Good standard in this open handicap. MONARCH'S GOLD (2) was disappointing at Newcastle returning to action two months ago. Entitled to have improved from that outing. Too soon to write him off having previously won over course and distance. GHOST MODE (4) holds plenty of ability. Narrowly beaten at York over 7f attempting a valuable contest in October and with plenty of potential making handicap debut can be considered.
