SON OF ASTAR (7) bounced back from a lesser effort when landing a 5f handicap by a neck at Haydock in October. Trained by Tony Carroll and remains lightly raced. Might well prove capable of defying the 3lb higher mark if handling the switch to AW. POPULAR DREAM (3) won over course and distance late last month and cannot be discounted off this revised mark. Fellow last time out winner SAM'S HOPE (10) picked up well to score tackling 6f at Wolverhampton. Remains unexposed racing over 5f for just the third time. Each-way claims go the way of MISS MENDOZA (2) who finished a fair third tackling track and trip two starts ago.
